Erik Hermes

Erik Hermes, President of Hermes Construction Co., started his journey in the construction world from the ground up. Working as a laborer for his father’s business, he gained hands-on experience that provided him with a solid understanding of the many facets of construction. This foundational knowledge equipped him to:

– Understand the specific characteristics of construction sites.

– Navigate community ordinances.

– Identify design inefficiencies.

– Optimize land usage.

Erik’s experience expanded as he took on roles in estimating job costs and managing commercial construction projects. Furthering his education, he studied Operations Management at the University of Cincinnati. After his studies, Erik was entrusted with the operations and expansion of R.A. Hermes, Inc. properties, which covered over 500,000 sq. ft.

In 1995, with a desire to take on new challenges and opportunities, Erik founded Hermes Construction Co. Under his leadership, the company has successfully completed projects in various sectors including retail, industrial, office, entertainment, food service, medical, and religious facilities. They’ve had the privilege of working with notable clients such as L’Oreal, Molina Health, DHL, Thyssen Krupp, Celanese, Ludlow Garage, Keller Williams, and Bogarts.

Outside of his professional life, Erik is actively involved in the community. He serves on the Board of Directors for Gateway Community and Technical College and Care Net Pregnancy Services. Additionally, he’s the Rifle Coach for the Campbell County 4-H Sharp Shooters.
