Mission Statement

Our Mission: To guide our clients through the planning and design process, provide accurate estimates so our clients can make informed decisions, and deliver quality construction that’s within the budget and on schedule.

1.    Provide cost-effective and practical construction.  It begins with the end in mind.  Since the parameters are established early on (design, construction materials and budget), the result is a design that meets the Owner’s requirements and can be built on time and within the financial budget.  By controlling these variables “in-house”, the result is an expedited construction schedule and overall cost savings.

2.    Create a single source of responsibility.  Architecture, engineering and construction responsibilities are under a single source (Hermes Construction Co.).  The result is fixed responsibility, maximum cost control, and immediate responsiveness.  The Owner can exercise their desired degree of control over design, with the added advantage of continuously knowing the cost implications of each decision.  Both Hermes Construction Co. and the Owner shall designate one person as their representative.  All communication shall take place between these representatives. The result is effective communication.

3.    Provide good customer service and a high quality product.  With one-on-one personal service with a single point of contact, our clients are assured of personal service and quality construction and materials.  Hermes Construction Co. is unique, in that, our clients deal directly with an owner of the company.  In addition, that person (Erik or Tyson Hermes) has been involved with the project from the initial design stage though the completion.

4.    Reduce design and construction time.  With the “design-build” approach, design and construction are fast-tracked, bidding periods and redesign times are eliminated, and long-delivery components are identified and procured. Therefore, total design-construction time is significantly reduced, which translates into earlier utilization of the completed facility.
